all the hand prints that cover my glass windows, tabletops and doors.
all the smudges on my walls from little hands holding on.
all the piles of laundry waiting to be done.
all the shoes scattered about near the door.
all the times I jump up to soothe a scared little one in the middle of the night.
all the food scattered under four high chairs after a meal.
all the toys scattered about the house that I constantly trip over each and every day.
all the diapers, wipes, formula, milk and food we need to buy each week.
all the laughter and giggles that come from their rooms late at night when they should be fast asleep.
all the worry that comes with raising children.
all the time it takes me to get four children out of the house bundled up to play.
For none of these things I could have been thankful for if I wasn't a mother. And for that, I am forever, ever grateful.
