Our Honeymoon

In May 2009, Tim and I went to Aruba for our Honeymoon! We could not have been more happy with our choice for our special trip, as it was everything and more we could have imagined!

We stayed for 8 nights at the Radisson Resort, Casino and Spa. We stuck around the resort for the first few days, and relaxed, napped, ate and drank some great drinks! It was perfect! We always woke up early to get a full day out of each day, but still managed to take many long naps on the beach with the slight breeze blowing. It was absolute paradise!!!

The resort was amazing, everyone was so sweet and so accomodating to whatever they could do for us. Every morning we were greeted, "Good Morning, Mr. and Mrs. Gaydos...." From the manager, to the chef at the restaurant to the staff, everyone was wonderful and made our stay so great!

Here is just some of the thousands of photos we took and little snip-its of our trip and what we did...

A late lunch when we arrived at Gilligan's....

The view from our first balcony, before we were upgraded to a suite!

Our desert the first night at Sunset Grille, compliments of the Chef!

When we were upgraded to our 7th floor suite, it was already dark, so we couldn't see the view and so when we woke up, we were speechless! So incredibly beauitful!!!!!

Breakfast, our first morning...

Could the view get any better?

So happy to be married to this wonderful man!

Dinner, our first night at an overpriced restaurant, but still it was good. There were lots of flies, but we were outside. We never experienced flies anywhere else though! I believe it was called Aqua Grille.

We seemed to take photos each night of eachother outfront of the resort!

Dinner, the second night, at a super good Italian restaurant right across from The Radisson. It was divine!

We then rented a jeep for 24 hours....I think it was like 30 bucks and SO worth every single moment! We absolutely had a freakin' blast! We toured the island and went to all the touristy-landmarks! I swear I have never laughed so hard in my life!

The other side of Aruba looks totally different than the "tropical" side! It's so strange but so beautiful too!

This is the famous "Natural Bridge" that fell down a few years ago, but it's still neat to see. The water rushes in so fast and strong, see the photos below. The power of the water, I will never forget!

The strong waves!

We made it over the ruins and people have piled rocks for good luck, so of course we did the same! It really looked so cool!

Our "good luck" pile of rocks. We said a prayer over it for lots of healthy love, happiness and lots of future babies....haha, I think we may have prayed a little too hard!!!!

It started getting really hot and sunny, so we stopped at this little beach to put sunscreen on...and I put my feet in!

Going down to the "Natural Pool"....

The Natural Pool...so beautiful but we didn't go in. Lots of people were in but you definitely had to wear shoes and our shoes were brand new so we didn't go in. Next time, I will definitely have old shoes and bring them so we can go in! I hear the snorkeling is awesome!!

Coming back up the mountain....oh if you only knew!

The view of the island...

We started making our way back around the island to the other side, that is more "tropical", so these photos are of us coming back around. We did happen to come across a sign that said, "Enter at your own risk", it was the shooting range for the army! So needless to say, we turned around!

And we finally made it Baby Beach, a true unique paradise! It's a big circle, with only a little opening (which has really great snorkeling) so it creates this big, shallow pool that is just wonderful!!

We ate here, burgers and french fries...to die for! Oh, it was soooo good!

Coming around to the resorts...and watching all the awesome wind-surfers!

Dinner for the second time at our FAVORITE resturant of all time....

Just another wonderful, relaxing day on the beach....

Almost everyday we ate at Gilligan's, and we always had company for lunch! We would get the local beer and normally I always got the chef salad, which was amazing!

The best breakfast in the world. Crepes!!!! We will definitely be returning to this place when we go back!

Finally we saw a sunset!

Out to dinner again....

The trees were so cool!

Gosh, see how crowded the resort was in the middle of the day?!?!

This view never got old!!

Some fun before we left...

The last photo....I never wanted to leave!

We cannot wait to return to your tropical heaven, Aruba!!!!!!!
