Fall Fest at Summer's Farm!

Today we wrangled the kiddos up and took them to our Infants and Toddlers Fall Fest at Summer's Farm. It's only about 5 minutes from our house, so the drive was great! We almost went last year, but when I looked at the prices for admission, and then looked at my big pregnant self and 3 not-yet-crawling babies, I re-evaluated and realized I was absolutely crazy! This year, however, I made Tim take the day off work and join me for a fun-filled family day. The girls got in free and it was only $5 per adult. I can't complain there!

The girls did really good. They LOVED the hayride and the animals. There were a lot of animals and they loved going around and feeding some of them hay. Natalee and Madelynn especially loved the hay, which is strange for Natalee because she hates anything regarding outdoors, except swinging and the slide.

With our triplet friends, Coleman, Luke and Addison and Killian too!

While we were waiting for the hayride, I had a sweet girl tap me on the arm and she had written a message on her phone that said, "I read your blog and you are an amazing mother!" (It was not only Frederick County Infant and Toddlers Fall Fest, but also The Frederick School of Deaf Fall Fest too!) Every time someone comes up to me when I am out and says that they read my blog...I am always taken back. Like, people do actually read my blog...and then recognize me in public! It makes me smile. Thank you for all that do! (And if you were that sweet lady who tapped my arm...will you please email me so I can really KNOW you!!)

We then ventured to the rubber ducky races which since it involved ducks and water, the girls LOVED it! We played with Addison, Luke and Coleman and also with another set of identical twins that we play with each week at the park. It was fun seeing so many twins  and of course Meg and I with our triplets. We saw many of our teachers and therapists and many of them brought their little ones too!

We ventured around the rest of the park and skipped a couple of the things that the girls were too young for. It was really hard keeping up with all three of them when they weren't in the stroller. Up and down the hills. Oh my goodness. I had many moments where I thought I might have a heart attack!

And then the girls found the BIG slide. They LOVED this slide! Although, no matter how many times they came down, they never got that they had to go AROUND and WALK up the side to do it again. Over and over they would scream and throw a fit when they had to get up and walk around. I couldn't understand why they just couldn't get it! It was definitely a little comical! We also saw our other twin friends on the slide too, which was fun! On our way out, I saw the cutest 3 month old twin girl/boy! Oh my goodness, they were so cute! I think I saw at least between 5-10 sets of twins throughout the two hours there!

On the way out, Meg took a few family photos for us! Thanks Meg!

Hoping next year will be a little easier! Once we got home, ate lunch, everyone (including Mommy and Daddy) were sound asleep in no time! Happy Fall Ya'll!

Emily: You are EIGHT Months Old!

Today is Wednesday, September 26, 2012 and YOU are EIGHT Months old! Today is also Nana's Birthday!!!

Wow, here we are again! 8 Months, Little Miss E! Wasn't I just pregnant with you? Oh yeah, I was! And yet, another glorious month in you sweet life has rushed by, with Momma still demanding time to stand still.

You have grown so much in the last month! You are now almost 20 lbs and now finally weigh MORE than NATALEE, who is 13 months older than you! You were weighed on Wednesday, September 12th and you weighed exactly 18 lbs.

You have the biggest thighs, girlfriend and I hope your little itty-bitty feet can hold them up! I love everyone of your little rolls!

You love to eat and suck on your feet and toes! You are very flexible.

There is no denying that you LOVE to eat. You open your mouth as wide as you can for every single bite. You would eat all real food and have no bottles if I let you. There isn't anything that you don't like. You eat breakfast, lunch and dinner now. At least two jars at each meal, sometimes three!!!! Like I said, PORK-CHOP!

You are constantly giggling and smiling. You love to laugh and I love to hear you laugh.

You love that your highchair is next to the window and often you will stare out the window at the birdies and the trees.

You are a big drooler. You are always sucking on something.

You can find the tag of anything and you love to play with them on anything. Just like your Momma.

You are a great sleeper. You sleep from 8PM to 7:30AM. You take one nap from 12:30PM to 4:00PM. Sometimes I give literally FIVE minutes in the am if you are fussy and must have a nap (or if you happened to wake up really early!).

You are in size 4 diapers because of your big thighs!

You can wear almost the same size as your big sisters. You aren't as long, but you are growing like a weed! You can wear 9 month, 9-12 months, 12 months and even some 18 months stuff. Six months is pretty tight on you now and I have packed it all up. Your sleepers are all 9 and 12 months.

You have grayish-brown eyes and light brown hair. Your skin is beautiful! You have long eyelashes and perfect little pink lips.

Your two bottom teeth are ALMOST here!!!!!! Ahh! I cannot wait, but I will miss that toothless smile of yours.

You are still the most easy-going baby ever. Seriously, all babies should be as good and as easy as you!

You have really started to show a lot of interest in crawling. You get up on all fours and rock back and forth just like your sisters did. It won't be long until you are chasing after them!

You love to swing still!

You LOVE to watch the TV, especially in the dark!

You love your bathies!

You love your pink bear lovie and your paci.

We LOVE you so much, Ems! You are such a blessing to our family and we couldn't imagine our lives without you!
