But, in the meantime, I saw this post that Megan did and I thought I would join in.
So, if YOU really knew me, you would know that...
I can probably be out of the house faster with my four kids than someone with just one. I can do it at record speed, I promise you that.
I take a nap almost every.sinlge.day!
I never make our bed unless we have company, there's just no point to me.
I watch WAY too many shows. Survivor, Smash, Revenge, The Amazing Race, The Office, 19 Kids and Counting, Long Island Medium, The Little Couple, Gulianna and Bill, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Duck Dynasty, 48 Hours, Dateline, 20/20, Real Housewives of Orange County and New York City, Bethany Ever After, Swamp People, Keeping Up With the Kardasians, Breaking Amish, The Shark Tank, Cops...see the list could go on forever!
I have never missed Survivor since it started, back when I was just 14 years old. I even own the first season on DVD.
I'm a sucker for Lifetime, Hallmark and Investigative Discovery. I could literally watch any of those channels ALL day, and to be honest, that was how I made it through bed rest with the girls.
We go through about 200 diapers EACH week and I never can keep up with them.
I hate to talk on the phone and I ignore when my phone is ringing most of the time.
I don't call the doctor for anything unless it's an emergency because I'm totally in fear of being "that annoying lady" or "that mom who can't figure anything out"! Good thing I have very knowledgeable mom, MIL, and aunts with lots of medical info!
That if I could go back and re-do my Master's, I would have probably gotten a teaching degree instead of social work.
I still miss not having a job outside for the home in social work. I think about it often, especially when I am out shopping and I see professional-type clothes. It makes me miss being in a professional setting, a little.
If Tim and I had all the money in the world, we would move to northern Montana, Northern Maine or Alaska and build a huge ranch and live a much simpler life. No distractions. Just down-home faith, family and food. We would move anyone in our family that would want to come! It's our dream!
Speaking of dreams, when the girls go off to college, our first trip, just the two of us will be to Alaska, for a month! We want to tour the whole state, just the two of us.
I could eat Chinese food everyday.
I very rarely drink soda, or anything but water. BUT, I LOVE the fountain sodas from Costco. For some reason, they taste so good! And I do love sweet tea.
I find it ridiculous that people spend so much money on Starbucks. I think it's silly, BUT I love the pumpkin spice latte, BUT I would never actually go in and buy one myself. I could totally find something way more important to do with the amount of money a Starbucks coffee is (like a dozen chocolate covered Krispie Kreme doughnuts!!)!
I think Twitter is so
I get all giddy when I win giveaways! Makes my heart smile for days!
Almost every single girl I know is pregnant right now!
We are planning our first trip away from the girls this winter to go skiing (just about 2.5 hours away). We haven't been skiing since 2009 since I have been pregnant for the past two winters. I am super excited. And after that, we are planning on going back to Aruba for our 5th Anniversary...without the girls!
I am super close with my dad, and he just may be the smartest/caring/loving/selfless person on the planet to me. I go to him for everything and he is always able to calm me down, re-organize my thoughts, help me see clearer, and has the best advice. I wish others had dads as awesome as him.
I could spend all day in JoAnn Fabric. I wish I knew how to sew and do more crafty things and then--- sell them to make extra money! Oh, I wish!!!!!
I would love to sell Scentsy or 31, BUT I couldn't stand the pressure of having to "be the best" at it. I am way to much of an over achiever and would want to run it my way, so I deny any offer to sell under anyone...until I could get passed this issue of mine.
I secretly smile when people (that I know and don't) have a second baby, and then all of the sudden they only blog once a week...welcome to my world (only half way), but it makes me feel good that I am not the only one who much rather spend time with my kids than on the computer.
I know you shouldn't hate, but there are a few people I honestly just hate.
I cannot stand having a dog and two cats now. They were my world before kids and now...I can't wait to be done as an animal owner. Although I wouldn't know what to do without a dog for the reason of three toddlers practicing their throwing arms with my homemade dinners. Unless we build that ranch, this will the last dog and cats we own for a long time.
Sometimes when people say "your four kids" I look around and wonder who they are talking about...OH YEAH, IT'S ME! I HAVE FOUR KIDS???? (this just happened the other night!!)
I hate milk. I could NEVER drink it straight! Nothing is more nasty to me.
My husband does most of our household cleaning. I promise you that is the truth. He vacuums, mops, steam cleans the carpet areas, even cleans the toilets sometimes. I am SO lucky to have such a wonderful man. His mom taught him well and I am thankful. We have no that's your chore and this is mine in our household, we are equals when it comes to everything.
Speaking of my husband, he does a lot of the cooking too. He loves to bake elaborate cheesecakes and help me chop or make anything. We love to cook together and it's one of our favorite things to do to spend time with one another.
I have worn fake nails that I did myself for 10 years and I stopped about 4 months ago and have been growing out my own nails and painting them. It is such a change, and still not as nice looking as fake ones, but I feel so much better with having my real nails show!
I have been pulling out gray hairs for the past few months. Umm, I am ONLY 26 years old! What the hell!?!?!?!
I will NEVER have long hair again, as long as I live.
I really wish I knew some bloggers in REAL LIFE!
I have to straighten my hair everyday or almost everyday, but it only takes less than five minutes. Why waste valuable time on hair? Silly! Hence the reason, I will never have long hair again.
Sometimes people really annoy me and I so wish I could say what I want to. But, instead, I pray about it.
I could eat pumpkin cake all year long, but pumpkin pie, no thanks.
I LOVE tomato soup and bologna sandwiches. I know totally weird!
Nothing makes my heart smile more than the four little girls that made me a Momma!
...I could do this all day, but I will stop here. Remember if you want to know something, leave me a comment! :)
Do you ever think about having more children?
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I could agree with almost ALL of these!! Chinese food and pumpkin cake, umm YUMMM!!
ReplyDeleteYikes about the diapers!! I have a hard enough time keeping up with ONE kids for diapers and wipes!! I used to be SO good about getting good deals and keeping a good stock, now not so much!!
DO share your secrets on getting out of the house quickly with all of your girls!!!! :)
I just found your blog and clicked on this post and we are soul sistas
ReplyDeleteHello Holly! I heard about your blog and can I just say you are a remarkable woman. I too am a mother of triplets. A friend of mine is a free lance writer for PBS and they are going to be doing a piece on moms of multiples. Let me know if you would be interested... I think you could be a great addition.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, now I know all about you!! Lovely. We have a lot in common.
