One of our very favorite places to go is to visit our family in PA! We love love love it up in the mountains and if Tim had it his way we would have moved there awhile ago.
Two weeks agao, on Wednesday evening, we packed up what felt like the whole entire house and left for our 2.5 hour trip. We met Tammy at her house and packed up more stuff before heading out for the highway. We stopped at Roy Rogers and grabbed a bite to eat, changed the girls diapers and off we went.
After just about a half an hour, we had to stop and warm bottles before melt-downs were in full force. I managed to sit in the back and feed everyone while we kept going! Boy, do I love having a big SUV!!
Around 8:15pm we pulled up to Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Russ' beautiful home. We love spending time with them at their house and we were so pleased that they offered to house our little circus. They also have a ten week old puppy named Tucker which was such a treat to play with. He is such a sweet boy and so well-behaved!
Everyone was over and waiting to see the girls. They got to meet their Great-Pop-Pop for the first time and he instantly fell in-love with all of them!! Also, they meet their Great Aunt Jen and cousin Amanda who live in Florida and their Great Aunt Beth, cousins Alesse, Russel, Kaitlyn and Mitchel, who all live in PA.
We quickly got settled and it wasn't long before it was bed time for the little ones. They did really well sleeping in pack-n-plays and Claire even slept the whole night through.
The next day we hung out in the morning and had a wonderful breakfast of my favorite, cream chipped beef! Yum! Every morning we had such wonderful breakfasts, what a treat!!
We visited more with family and enjoyed just a relaxing day. Tim and I got to go off on our own for awhile for a special treat...ice cream! I have heard so many wonderful things about Heislers Creamery, but Tim and I had never had a chance to make it there on any of our trips, so finally, we decided to go! It was delicious! I had my favorite, black raspberry and Tim had a banana split.
| It was the middle of a Thursday, so no one was there! |
We drove around for awhile and made a few stops at the local mall to get some new Phillie/Penn State gear. We found the other two Phillie onesies for the girls, so now they all have matching Phillie gear.

Friday we spent more time with family and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Nana's house. Tim played quates for awhile with everyone and I enjoyed just hanging out on the porch with the girlies.
Saturday was the family reunion, which of course the girls were quite the highlight and even though I brought three babies with me, I barely saw them the whole time, because everyone was passing them around.

On Sunday morning, we hung out and started to say our sad good-byes. It's never any fun leaving!
We were sad to leave but already looking forward to our next trip, hopefully in the early fall!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped out with the girls and made it such a wonderful trip!!
Sound like y'all had a lot of fun! :)
