14 Weeks!

Finally, now that I know how far along I am and what's up with this new little bean, I can finally start doing my weekly posts!

Tim just asked me the other day, how come I wasn't having him take all the weekly photos like we did last time and even though I had thought about it, I just am so busy, days blur together! But now it's official and we can start!

So here goes...I CANNOT believe I am already doing this again!

How Far Along: 14 Weeks

How Big is the Baby: The baby is the size of a lemon, (something I can't get enough of right now either!) about 3.4 inches and 1.5 oz. Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

Weight Gain: +2lbs. I started this time at 128lbs, now 130lbs.

Symptoms: Oh god, everything. Puking, gagging about a million and one times a day! Nothing like when I was pregnant with the girls. This is one hundred times worse. (HOWEVER, this is weird--I haven't puked once since my appt on Wednesday morning! AMEN! I think I just finally have accepted this baby and that's what God was waiting for!) Tired and weak--very faint. I always carry two girls at once up and down the stairs and I just can't do it anymore. It's too hard and they are too heavy, but the alternative is walking up and down the stairs three different times in the morning, for naps and after naps....I have to lay on the bed in between each one because I get so weak and tired. Light headedness, especially from a laying down position. Constipated from the zofran. It's just a lovely ole time!

Emotions: Really, you don't even want to know! Everything from sad to mad to happy to joy....and all that comes in between! But finally acceptance, so I think that is helping my emotions, I have had a much better end of the week.

Best Moment of the Week: Finally getting to see the little bean!!

Movement: None, yet. I don't think it will be anything like I had with the girls though! I only have two arms and two legs in me this time, not six of each!

Maternity Clothes: When I go out, mostly, when I'm home, no. I don't really get dressed at home...I mean for what ya know? As long as the girls are dressed, I don't really care about myself. I have enough laundry to do, so everyday I live in soffee shorts and a tank-top.

Stretchmarks: Ugh, just the millions I have on my lower tummy from carrying triplets!
I better not get any more this time! But I probably won't even have a belly compared to what I had, so I don't think I'll get anymore!

Cravings: Besides my zofran and water with lemon...not really anything. I guess, tomatoes and blue cheese dressing again at night, and pickles of course. Ritz crackers have been really soothing for some reason on my throat after it is burning and burning from throwing up so much.

Food Aversions: EVERYTHING!! I cannot tell you the last time I made dinner. Normally I eat (if I can) late, right before bed.  I have to eat very slowly.

Gender: I bet it's another girl, but I hope it's a little boy! To be honest I really don't care what sex it is as long as he/she is healthy!! We have a boy name but a cannot decide on a girl name...there's so many I like right now!

What I miss: NOT puking constantly!!!!!!! And alcohol! I feel like I should become someone's AA sponsor..I'm going on my second summer and holiday season with no drinks! UGH!

Sleep: I'm so damn tired at the end of each day, I could sleep standing up! However the crazy dreams are in full force. I started having them even before I knew I was pregnant--another one of those signs I thought was just a little weird.

What I'm Looking Forward to: To the possibility of not puking, that's all I pray for these days!

Milestone: Well, considering I am pregnant naturally, on birth control, after IVF, I'd say getting pregnant was a pretty big milestone....just not one I was looking for right now, but that's ok!

And here is my weekly photo....with comparison to my pregnancy with the girls!

  3. Wow, your baby bump is pretty much the same size as when you were pregnant with triplets! I guess its true that you really do pop earlier with your second. Or rather, your fourth ;)

    Hope you feel better soon!
