On Friday night, I stayed home with the girls while Tim went to softball. It was a last minute decision for all of us not to go because of bad predicted storms, and I am sure glad we stayed home! My mom walked over and brought some Ledo's pizza for us to share and helped me feed the girls and get them ready for bed. We played with the girls and caught up, and it was really nice!
We were watching the storms approaching and my mom left just in time to run across the street and get in the house before the huge winds and downpour started. We were under a tornado warning for hours. I swear I had never seen trees bend so far! I immediately called Tim to check in on him at softball and he was running to the car and the cell phones went out. We couldn't get a hold of one another for a few minutes and I swore a tree had fallen on him! I was freaking out, the thunder was so loud and the lightening was something fierce! Tim finally made it home and agreed with me, saying he hadn't seen a storm that bad in years!
I was glad to have him home safe and sound!
On Saturday we had to wake up early to make a 9:30am appointment at PB Dye Golf Club with Tim's mom, Tammy to check it out for Tim's sister, Megan's wedding next year! We had so much fun and the wedding planner was so so so nice! PB Dye is Tim's first choice for his sister's wedding because he would get a bunch of golf out of it, so he was all about it. The girls were so good too and we also enjoyed a nice lunch there before heading to our next appointment. Our next stop was the Landon House, which was one of Megan's favorites online but when we pulled up, Tim refused to get out--- it was THAT bad! It looks NOTHING like the photos online and looks horrible and disgusting in person! I couldn't believe it, so we called the planner from the parking lot and said we weren't coming! It seriously looked like it would fall down if you stepped on the porch. Ugh!
We headed back to Tim's mom's house to rest and let the girls take a nice long nap before heading to a family cook-out. I made some of my Grandma's cucumber salad and Tammy made her wonderful macaroni salad. We then went to the cook-out and enjoyed some really great conversation and fun times. Claire slept the whole time we were there almost, it was so strange but I guess she just wasn't feeling well. The food was great and we had such a fun time! Thank you so much for the invite Donna and Jack!!

On Sunday, Madelynn and Claire were both really congested, along with Tim so I left with Natalee to meet Tammy again to look at another wedding venue, Morningside Inn. Tim and I also looked there for a possible location for our wedding but I didn't care for certain things. It's absolutely beautiful on the grounds but it's kinda like a "wedding-mill" to put it nicely. I just don't think they focus on details and compared to PB Dye which would bend over backwards for whatever the bride wants, Morningside just doesn't have that spark for me.
Natalee was such a good girl and we even had to change her stinky butt on the buffet table. If that bride only knew that my baby's little tushie was changed on their buffet table before their wedding...oh my! Haha, but I had my tooshie roll, so no worries!
We then headed to Joann Fabrics, Boscovs and then Arby's for a great lunch! I was starving after so much picture taking and shopping!
When Natalee and I got home, we packed everyone up and went over to my parent's house and had a wonderful dinner of hamburgers, veggies on the grill, corn on the cob, and left over cucumber salad and macaroni salad. Also, a wonderful homemade apple pie made by my momma!
The girls played footsie and got lots of cuddles! I didn't get any photos of Natalee that day for some reason, and she looked so cute in a USA outfit!!
On Monday, we were suppose to go to another cookout but we decided since everyone was still not feeling well and Natalee was sick now too, we would stay home. Plus the weather is about 100 degrees and not too good for three little sick babies! So we stayed home, in the air conditioned cave and had some good family time! The girls are slowly getting better but the congestion just breaks my heart! They are still all full of smiles and so I don't think it's bothering them too much, just sounds much worse!
Tuesday, Tim played in a golf tournament and had a bunch of fun expect for the 102 degree heat! He was absolutely beat, a little sun-burned and super tired but feeling much better.
All and all it was a fun filled holiday weekend! Hope yours was just as fun as ours (minus three sick babies)!
I LOVE them playing with each other, so sweet! Your weekend makes me tired just reading about it! Ha! :) I hope everyone is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI went to a large wedding at morningside inn. I wouldn't recommend it. The dining area felt very disjointed.
