First Day of Ballet School!

This fall the girls started at The Little Gym! I was so excited to start them in a ballet, tap and gymnastics class once a week. Once the winter starts, I will also take them for a gymnastics class too. They seem to really LOVE the gymnastics part of the class.

One of my favorite photos!

I chose The Little Gym for many reasons. One, it is close to our house. Two, it is VERY reasonably priced. Like, holy cow, the discounts for having triplets, sibling-discount, ect, make it SO affordable. Not to mention, if you sign up for multiple classes, you get a discount on those classes too. I feel like I need to pay them more, but shhh, don't tell them that. :) Three, the classes are small. Four, they are not super strict on anything. You can borrow tap shoes or ballet shoes from their stash of hundreds. You can wear anything you want. It's not all uptight and strict like some dance studios are. I really wanted something where they can just express themselves, get some energy out and have fun! For goodness sake, they are only three! Five, if you miss a class, you can make it up by just calling and picking another class for your child to attend. Super easy. Six, the classes are an HOUR long. And I mean a FULL HOUR. Seven, the teachers are SO sweet and SO fun! Eight, they have "practice" times during the week, which I can bring all the girls and they can all "practice" and play! Nine, I can use "ballet class" as leverage for good behavior all week. :) So you get the gist, I really am happy with my decision to start them in classes.

The girls are just loving the classes and I am loving being able to watch them improve and learn each week!

C, N, M - BEST FRIENDS!!!!!!

Another super awesome benefit...right before the first class started, ANOTHER set of GGG triplets walked in. My mouth literally dropped. They are two identical and one fraternal just like my girls and almost exactly one year older. Her mom and I have so much in common, and it's so cool seeing another set of triplet girls!

In the winter, Emily will also start a class when she turns three and I may separate (ekkk!) the triplets and put one with Emily. We will see. Emily got to join in with her sisters during "Bring a Friend Week" and she of course loved it to pieces! Nana and Grandma have come to many of the classes too to watch the girls, which of course the girls love too!

Summer Camps!

This was the first year that the triplets got to go to summer camp! This was the first time I had ever dropped all three of them off somewhere without staying and I was a little nervous about it. But as usual, my girls just go with the flow and don't miss a beat. Five seconds after going into the classroom on the first day, they were like, "bye, mom" and that was it. Just me, Emily and Anna for 2.5 hours. (Whoever complains about two kids... :) What a vacation that is!)

I didn't get a photo of the first day of camp, so this was on the last day of the first week:

The first week was called Wee Adventures. They had scavenger hunts, went digging for bones in the sandbox, made lots of arts and crafts and had so much fun! On the last day, a local nature center came and one of their camp counselors snapped some photos for me because I wouldn't be caught dead in a room with a snake, let alone even the same building. But my girls...no fear. They are way better than me.

The second week was sports camp! Each day at camp was a different sport. And everyday, they were exhausted and SO hungry at the end of camp. The whole way home they were begging for food and would pass out the minute they were done with lunch. I thanked those counselors for their hard work! They ran all the kids HARD and all of us parents appreciated that! :)

This was the first day of sports camp:

And on the last day they all got medals. Let me tell you, that was the best thing ever to my little girls. The medal has a football on it and they were SO excited to show it to Daddy because he would love it (since it had a football on it!). It proudly hangs in their room! :)

When did they get big enough to go to camp all by themselves?! :(

Frederick Keys Game!

On Saturday, June 14, 2014, we took the big girls to their very first Frederick Keys game! Let me just say first, I am so proud of how my girls behaved and listened. For a looooong baseball game, which at times can be extremely boring for a grown adult, my three three-year-olds and two-year-old made it through the entire 9 innings and fireworks. I love baseball, but I also find it boring and long. Also, with Madelynn and Claire potty-trained now, I was worried I would spend half of the game in the bathroom and although I did have to make many trips with them, they did great and had no accidents! Amen!

A few months ago while on the Keys website, I discovered that they have a free Kid Klub program for kids 12 and under. The benefits are awesome. You pay for the first game ($7 per kid) and then you get three free games per child. Each child gets a free hot-dog and drink, a t-shirt, a free ride on the carousel and numerous other benefits located in ad out of the park. You can't beat it. So I signed all the big girls up! We picked up our Kids Klub packet and off we went!

When we got there we rode the carousel and got the girls their free hot-dogs and drinks before finding our seats. You really can't have a bad seat in the stadium since it's not very big; only holding 5400 people.

After the girls ate their hot-dogs, I kept them entertained with popcorn, chili-cheese fries, lemonade and the promise of fireworks and ice-cream! Anytime a meltdown almost occurred, I reminded them of the fun day we were having and the treats to come! After the game was done, (about 8:45pm) and the Keys WON (5-1) against Myrtle Beach, all the kids are invited to run the bases. It was unbelievable just how many kids were there! Good gracious. We didn't let the girls do it this time but next time we will for sure. After that, the fireworks started and surprisingly the girls loved them too. They showed no ounce of being scared at all. Phew! I was surprised at how good the fireworks were and how long they lasted. They do fireworks for pretty much every Friday and Saturday night games, so I thought they would be a little cheap, but nope, they went on for a good 15 minutes and I was impressed at the quality!

After the game we went and picked Anna up at Tammy's house and got the girls ice cream! Boy was it a late night, but they were not going to let us forget that we had said they could have ice cream for good behavior! (They don't forget much these days!

We didn't all get to bed until almost midnight (after baths!) but Tim and I both agreed that it was such a fun night with our family and we can't wait to do it again!

Emily's First Haircut...and some more photos!

Happy New Year!

I have a bunch of edited photos from December and going to hopefully share this weekend, since I am not feeling well and tomorrow is my birthday!

A few weeks ago, I had my friend Vickie (who lives next door to my parents, and has been in my life since I was a little girl) cut the girl's hair. It was well overdue and Emily's first hair cut! There were no tears this time and all the girls were very much into it! I will say since we first got the girl's hair cut in May 2013, their hair has taken off! And Natalee still has the best hair, which makes me so happy since she is the one who had her head shaved! Claire's hair is definitely the most challenging, and Maddy's hair is the thickest! We will see what Emily's hair does, but already it is growing so well, way better than the triplet's hair grew!

Please excuse that I have my pj shirt on...it was 100 degrees in my parent's house that day and I was dying!

And then Maddy's turn....

And Claire's turn...

And Natalee...

I can't believe I have such big girls!
