Emily, You are TEN Months Old!

{ November 26, 2012 }

Sweet Emily, you are TEN months old! I can barely believe another month has passed us!

You are going to be ONE in just two short months!

In all 12 Month and 18 Month clothes. Some very large 9 Month clothes still fit but that's it. Clothes fit you so differently than they did your sisters. You have thighs, girlfriend, and a tummy, and rolls...I love it all!

Size 4 diapers.

Still little, itty-bitty feet.

Brown hair. Brown eyes.

Pork Chop...you go to the doctor on Wednesday and I will add in your weight. My guess is that you are right under or at 20lbs!

You can sit up by yourself for a few minutes but you still rear back and then get very mad. I don't blame you. We are working on it.

You love to say "uh-oh" and "da-da", all day long! I say, "ma-ma" and you say "da-da-da-da". Every time. Constantly. I think you think it's funny. Booger.

Your sisters love you so much.

You love the bath and love to splash. I have finally put you in with your sisters sometimes when they are behaving and play nicely with you. You love watching them and they love to help wash you!

You can get anywhere you want, by scooting and in the walker. You are a pro.

You share a room with Natalee.

You get about 2-3 8 ounce bottles and breakfast, lunch and dinner with real food.

This month you have had some "real" food! We have tried bread, cheese, peas, carrots, cheerios, puffs crackers, eggs, yogurt bites, green beans, pasta, turkey, mandarin oranges and also started on most "3rd" jars of food! You have done really good and barely ever gag. You are still such a good eater and can pick up and put everything in your mouth all by yourself!

You are still a great sleeper. You sleep from 7:30PM to 7:30AM, and hardly ever wake up. You nap great also, one nap a day from 12:00PM to 4:00PM.

You love your pink lovie still and your binki.

You hold all your own bottles.

You started drinking from a sippy cup in the high chair and you love it.

You have started having BIG TIME stranger anxiety. So strange because your sisters never could have cared less where I was, but not you. Oh my goodness, you were not a fan of Thanksgiving just because all of the people and you wanted nothing to do with anyone but your Momma. You had a hard day. You look at other people and just scream! Hopefully this passes soon.

We love you so much little Em!

Emily: You are EIGHT Months Old!

Today is Wednesday, September 26, 2012 and YOU are EIGHT Months old! Today is also Nana's Birthday!!!

Wow, here we are again! 8 Months, Little Miss E! Wasn't I just pregnant with you? Oh yeah, I was! And yet, another glorious month in you sweet life has rushed by, with Momma still demanding time to stand still.

You have grown so much in the last month! You are now almost 20 lbs and now finally weigh MORE than NATALEE, who is 13 months older than you! You were weighed on Wednesday, September 12th and you weighed exactly 18 lbs.

You have the biggest thighs, girlfriend and I hope your little itty-bitty feet can hold them up! I love everyone of your little rolls!

You love to eat and suck on your feet and toes! You are very flexible.

There is no denying that you LOVE to eat. You open your mouth as wide as you can for every single bite. You would eat all real food and have no bottles if I let you. There isn't anything that you don't like. You eat breakfast, lunch and dinner now. At least two jars at each meal, sometimes three!!!! Like I said, PORK-CHOP!

You are constantly giggling and smiling. You love to laugh and I love to hear you laugh.

You love that your highchair is next to the window and often you will stare out the window at the birdies and the trees.

You are a big drooler. You are always sucking on something.

You can find the tag of anything and you love to play with them on anything. Just like your Momma.

You are a great sleeper. You sleep from 8PM to 7:30AM. You take one nap from 12:30PM to 4:00PM. Sometimes I give literally FIVE minutes in the am if you are fussy and must have a nap (or if you happened to wake up really early!).

You are in size 4 diapers because of your big thighs!

You can wear almost the same size as your big sisters. You aren't as long, but you are growing like a weed! You can wear 9 month, 9-12 months, 12 months and even some 18 months stuff. Six months is pretty tight on you now and I have packed it all up. Your sleepers are all 9 and 12 months.

You have grayish-brown eyes and light brown hair. Your skin is beautiful! You have long eyelashes and perfect little pink lips.

Your two bottom teeth are ALMOST here!!!!!! Ahh! I cannot wait, but I will miss that toothless smile of yours.

You are still the most easy-going baby ever. Seriously, all babies should be as good and as easy as you!

You have really started to show a lot of interest in crawling. You get up on all fours and rock back and forth just like your sisters did. It won't be long until you are chasing after them!

You love to swing still!

You LOVE to watch the TV, especially in the dark!

You love your bathies!

You love your pink bear lovie and your paci.

We LOVE you so much, Ems! You are such a blessing to our family and we couldn't imagine our lives without you!

Emily: You are SEVEN Months Old!

{ Yes, I know this is very late, but I am posting it where it goes. And I somehow lost the "7 Month" sticker for her onesie, probably because I had it out for two weeks before I took the photos...opps! }

Emily June, you are SEVEN months on August 26th!

Once again, where has the time gone?! Seven Months?! 7! Geeze Em, slow down! I need my baby still and you are growing so big, so fast!

You are probably around 18-19 pounds.

You wear some 6 month clothes but your 9 month clothes fit you perfectly at the moment.

You are such a good baby! I swear everyone we talk to asks me if you are always so happy and so easy-going, and the answer is YES! You cry only when you gets shots, when you are not with your Momma and of course when you don't get your way! You hate to have a stinky diaper too and you will fuss until you make sure Momma knows something is not right!

You are very, very attached to your Momma. You won't even let Daddy feed you and will scream, but the minute I come to your rescue, you are all smiles and giggles. I kinda love it though because your sisters could have cared less if I was around and sometimes I felt like they didn't even really know their own Momma. But you, you girlfriend, you, KNOW!

You love to "talk" to us all the time and we love it. You are very, very vocal in the car now. You sounds like a little bird or monkey back there!

You sleep through the night in your own room wonderfully, from 7:30pm to 7:40am, every single night. You may wake up and turn over and cry for a minute, but you go right back to sleep. You still prefer to sleep on your tummy and you move all over your crib. You sleep with your pink bear lovie and your binki.

You can put your binki in your mouth all by yourself now. I can't believe it! You do it so quick and easily!

You grab for EVERYTHING! You want it and want to taste it! You love toys and anything that you can put into your mouth. You love eating and chewing on your hands!

You are an awesome eater! You eat everything and anything! I have given you squash, carrots, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes and corn, applesauce, pears, peaches and bananas. You love peaches and all veggies but you aren't the biggest fan of fruit quite yet. You also have oatmeal banana cereal each day. You are still eating Similac Sensitive formula.

You have been moved to a big girl car seat in the car finally when your big sisters got their new car seats!

You roll over a hundred times a day.

You are almost sitting up on your own. You can do it for about 30 seconds and then you fall to the side.

You are trying to push yourself up to crawl. You stick your butt up in the air, but haven't been able to figure it out quite yet, but I am sure it will take you no time at all when you do...and you'll be off!

You are the messiest and biggest drooler I have ever seen.

You hardly ever spit up anymore.

Your two bottom teeth are getting ready to pop through and they are causing you so much pain but with a little Tylenol, love from Momma and a cold teething ring, you are back to your happy self.

We call you Em, Emmy-Lou, Bay-boo, Emsie, Emmie and pork chop.

You are listening for your name now and as soon as you hear it, you turn your head to see where someone is calling you. I love it! You find me and then you give me the biggest grin ever!

Everyone says you have the smallest feet and it's so true! They better grow soon or I don't know if they are going to hold up your chunk-a-chunk thighs, girl!

Emily, I love you more than you will ever know! You are such a blessing and such a miracle to us! We don't know what we would have done without your sweet addition to our family! You have totally completed us.

The girls are so fun. I know I say that every time, but it's true! I love their unique personalities from one another and how they all interact. I feel so privileged to be their Momma and watch them explore the world and learn.

This month you have really started giving kisses on command and we absolutely LOVE it. You give kisses to everyone and love to kiss Emily a thousand times a day on her head. Madelynn, you give the sloppiest wet kisses and then you clap and say "good girl" after it. So funny!

You are all babbling like crazy! You never stop! I love it so much! You all are definitely developing your own language with each other.

I know I say this a lot, but I absolutely love watching your relationships develop with each other. It's so priceless! Such a wonderful gift to have each other forever and I hope you each value, respect and know just how lucky you are to have one another.

Right now you are all LOVINGLY OBSESSED with books! You all sit together in the corner and flip through books and babble to one another for such a long time. It's the cutest thing.

Claire still is the best at coloring. She loves it and is so cute with all her colors. Madelynn is okay and sometimes wants to eat the crayons, but Natalee is terrible at not coloring and biting/chewing on the crayons constantly. We are working on that.

You all love to climb and will climb everything!

You all love to clap and wave!

You love to sit on anyone's lap!

You love to swing and would for hours upon hours! You still have major melt-downs even after an hour of swinging at the park

You all love to run around in circles and chase each other! That's pretty much what you do all day long!

Loving Barney still too!

You all love to be outside and we spend a lot of time outdoors at the park, going on walks, in the pool, ect.

You love to "help" Mommy....if I say, "can you get me a book to read" you will go get it and bring it to me or if I say, "go get me your shoes" you will. Even when I say, "find your ball," you will! Ah-Mazing!

You all understand so well when you want to. When I say, "it's lunch time" you run to the kitchen and wait for me to open the gate, or when I say, "let's go take a bath," you wait at the other gate...love my little duckies!

You love to pretend to talk on the phone with anything that resembles a phone.

You are pros at eating with spoons!

You all never want to sit still!

We still are fighting with the biting issues! No fun! You guys can bite each other so hard, you bleed some days! Breaks Mommy's heart!

You all love tu-tus right now. Everyday since I brought them home after Nana bought them, you bring them to me and want me to put them on you. Love!

{ Foods }

You guys pretty much eat everything expect meat. I don't get it! We are huge meat eaters and I thought for sure you all would be too! I know it takes time and I have seen improvements, so I should complain too much!  You do like pork and chicken, but steaks and red meats we are working on.

This month you are loving spaghetti and pizza! Anything that I put in a bowl, is a pretty sure guess that you will eat! So funny!

You eat every fruit and veggie known to man, fresh, frozen, dried...you love it all. We eat a LOT of that!

You love popsicles!

You all love bread, cheese, chicken nuggets and every snack food!

This month I am going to try peanut butter and jelly in every way possible to get you all to like it! So far no luck in the past!

Mommy and Daddy love you all SO much! You are each the light of our lives! I can't believe this is our last month in the teens! Ah!

3 Months!

Emily, you are THREE MONTHS OLD as of Thursday, April 26, 2012.

I can't believe you have been here for three months, but yet I cannot remember what life was like before you were in our lives. I am so thankful for you.

You are size 2 Pampers Baby Dry Diapers.

You are wearing size 3 mos, 3-6 mos and some 6 mos. clothes. 3 mos stuff is almost too small. Please stop growing.

Your hair is still a reddish brown.

Your eyes are a greyish brown.

You probably weigh about 13 pounds at this point. You are a porker.

I still am obsessed with your little fists.

You get a bath almost everyday and love every minute of it.

I love to just hold you and take in your smell in my every breath. There is nothing better.

My absolute favorite thing this month has been your cooing and "talking". You are so sweet and love to chat with us.

You smile ALL of the time.

You sat in your bumbo for the first time on 04.24.12n and loved it.

You are constantly looking around at everything.

You love to kick now, and your little legs never stop moving!!

You still are swaddled at night, but you have been escaping.

You gradated from your bassinet to the bassinet on the pack-n-play, but are still in our room and will be for awhile.

You sleep completely on your back. You schedule of sleep during the day is still a bit random. At night, you are going down at around 9:00PM or 10:00PM and you sleep until around 5:00AM, eat and then sleep until around 8:00AM. You have had MANY nights of sleeping through the night - as in a FULL 12 hours. Thank you, sweet girl.

During the day, you wake up at 8:00AM, eat and play, then take a little cat nap around 10:30AM, up around 11:00AM. Eat around 12:30PM and fall asleep around 1:30PM and sleep until about 5:00PM. Eat, bath, awake/playtime and then eat again and bed around 9:30PM.

You still breath very loudly.

You love your paci and Natalee tries to swipe it from you all of the time.

You are getting better at holding your head up, but you are still a little wobbly.

You eat about every 3.5-4 hours.

This month, I stopped breastfeeding you. It just became too much to take care of your sisters and feed you. You are very demanding and bottles just became the easier option. This isn't what I wanted to do, but it is what worked for us. Please don't judge me. Not many people know what it is like to take care of three very active toddlers and a newborn by themselves. You do what you got to do, and if you have a problem with that, well then, don't read my blog, please.

You haven't seemed to notice the difference and your spitting up has improved so much from the formula. You barely have any gas or long periods of crying like you did when you were breastfed.

You are still laid back most of the time.

You love to be held.

You love your swing and the bouncy/vibrating seat.

You cry when your music on the swing stops. You know what you like, girlfriend and I don't blame you!

I still think you look just like me.

You eat your hands constantly and suck on your little fists.

You and I are pretty much attached still, but I have left you at home with Daddy and your sisters for a few hours.

This past weekend, you met your Aunt Megan for the first time! She loves you and your sisters so much! We went and picked her up from the airport, just you and me.

We love you so much sweet girl. You have completed our family!!
