It seems I have been doing more of these random posts. I like the way they feel. I love just getting my thoughts out there.

This past weekend, Tim and I took Emily up to PA to pick up some things that we forgot back when we were up a month ago and grab some other stuff that had accumulated for us. Traveling with one child is like pure heaven. I swear, why do people ever complain? Haha, I know every child is different, but we didn't even remember Emily was with us both up and back (about 2.5 hours one way). She never made even a peep! I thank the Lord for an easy, happy healthy baby! And I thank Him also everyday for a wonderful MIL who can take care of all three rambunctious girls by herself for an entire day! :)
It's my assumption that Emily is going to be bigger than Natalee very, very soon. Natalee doesn't seem to gain weight and Emily seems to gain a pound a day! We had someone ask us last week (for the first time) if we had two sets of twins. I'm sure it won't be the last. She was a whopping 16.8 lbs at the doctors yesterday { 65th % }.
After watching all the gymnastics (which I LOVE) I may have begun to practice summer-salts more and more with the girls, which they LOVE. Hoping for at least one gymnast out of these four little ladies! In fact, Natalee will be perfect...she's so tiny!
Speaking of gymnastics, I had tears running down my face the other night watching Team USA win Gold! I couldn't stop smiling! When I was 10 years old, after the "Magnificent Seven" won gold, my parents took me and my sister to see them. I still have the t-shirt with their autographs on it, it seriously seems like yesterday. I was obsessed with that and ice skating, and then we saw Team USA ice skate after they competed 2 years later and got more autographs! However, I didn't get to meet Nancy Kerragan, who was my favorite ice skater back then!
I am almost completely packed for the beach in terms of all of the girls stuff. I have had to hold out on a few outfits because we have some fun events this weekend and need to wear some of the stuff I want to take, but other than that, I have almost all of it washed and ready. They have more clothes and shoes than most grown women I bet. I swear, it's insane, but I am so thankful!
Dairy seems to be bothering me big time lately. I can't seem to eat anything dairy without lots of issues and being up all night!
Since I was little I have always been freezing and ever since the day I got pregnant with the girls I have been sweating non-stop. I swear it is no fun. I feel like a middle-aged woman in menopause all of the time. Constantly sweating and everyone else is freezing! I hope it goes away or I can figure out why my hormones are terrible!
My hubby wants to play golf numerous times in Myrtle Beach while we are there and I am not kidding that every moment he is gone away from us, I am getting every moment back by myself, at the pool with a pina colada and good book! Oh yes hunny, you better believe me!
Claire is obsessed with ranch dressing. Whatever I put it on, she eats in five seconds. Contemplating putting it on every single item I give her. Must say, I have no idea where she got it from!
Yesterday I had my friend Meg { who has 3.5 year old trips } watch the girls during nap time for me while I took Em to the doctors and Natalee slept on a twin bed and never moved an inch! I cannot wait to move her to her toddler bed, which I swore I wouldn't do until she was like 17. The more contained, the better, but she may be an exception from her crazy twin sisters! This is the bed we got FOR FREE from a facebook friend and I must say it's adorable and I am desperately looking for two or three more:

I'm glad to finally be able to give back some time in my local Parents of Multiples group by taking on the role of NICU Support Coordinator. It seems appropriate due to the fact that most of my entire life I was determined to be a NICU nurse and then couldn't pass chemistry to save my life { true story - I tried three damn times }! As hard as the time my children spent in the NICU was, I have said numerous times that I am FOREVER grateful of the men and women who saved my children's lives and treated us like their own. They are angles and deserve a special place in heaven. I am honored to take on such an important and rewarding role to help and support other parents during such a scary time.
Getting my hair cut on Monday and it cannot come soon enough! Err, it's getting long {at my standards of long } and it's terrible!
I swear it seems like my phone never seems to stop ringing. I can't stand it! I hate being on the phone a lot. When I have a minute I just want to sit and listen to silence, not be on the phone! Does anyone get that...it's not to be mean, it's just with a house full of kids, I cherish those quiet moments!
I am getting SO many people wanting to guest post and I am so thankful to each and everyone of you!!! :)

I laughed out loud about your husband wanting to play golf on your family vacation and you saying you will get each minute back in the form of your own quiet time. I had to read that paragraph to my husband because that sounds exactly like us!
ReplyDeleteI planned on being a nurse, too, until I got to chemistry! I barely passed my high school chemistry class...it was brutal...and that was my first clue that maybe I wasn't cut out for nursing, or anything scientific at all!
I totally feel the same way about being on the phone. When the kids are napping or in bed for the night and the house is quiet, usually the last thing I feel like doing is talking on the phone.
I hope y'all have a great time on your beach vacation!
Oh my goodness, those girls are so cute!! PS- You won a blog makeover! Check your email :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your adorable blog! I thought I was busy with 2 little girls - but 4!!! God bless you! They are all precious.
