{ Randoms and Truths }

1. I gave the girls their first taste of popsicles the other day. Claire LOVED it and cried when it was all gone. So I did what any good mother would do, I got another one. And another.

2. Madelynn ate two, yes two, hot dogs for lunch one day this week. PIGGY!

3. The temper tantrums these girls throw are becoming more and more each day. Phew. Ignore. Ignore. I can't imagine where they get wanting their own way from. Nope, no clue. ;)

4. Natalee may have had her first taste of peanut butter on Easter by finding a peanut-butter candy on the floor. Opps. And I may have ran to her when I noticed, pulled it out of her mouth, scared the hell out of her and got the benedryl out, just in case of a reaction. And then...it may have happened again. Opps. How do I drop them before they hit my mouth? Opps. See Exhibit A...above Natalee's head..the bowl of candy...Opps! So, I finally, just ate the whole bowl so it wouldn't happen again...I mean, it was for the best interest of my child. Duh.

Exhibit A
5. These girls of mine LOVE to take their pants off at night. Silly girls. I hope their diapers aren't next.

6. We have gone cold turkey to cups and no therefore bottles during the day. Madelynn chucks hers across the room and stares me down. I haven't given in and I won't. I don't think I will. Maybe. Nope, I am not.

7. I may have let the girls watch a new video and now they are obsessed, but it makes me really happy that they love it so much, not to mention sit still for a freakin' second. It's Sing Along Songs, Disney Land Magic. I LOVE the songs and it takes me back to my childhood and at the same time I find myself dreaming of the future taking my four little princesses there one day. College Fund = Disney World Fund! Joking, kind of.

8. I am loving a bunch of new shows this year. I am obsessed with Smash, Duck Dynasty, Dance Moms and Long Island Medium, along with so many others. Horrible, I know. Don't judge.

9. Speaking of Duck Dynasty...it's beyond the funniest show ever, I swear to Tim I will leave him to become part of the Robertson Family. I LOVE it, everything about it. I may be moving to Louisiana.

10. These girls crack me up. I am so glad they are mine. Here's a few of the things I have caught them at in the past week:

Sending them to Nana's!!

They LOVE LOVE LOVE to be on the couch with Daddy, or by themselves as they can get up and down now by themselves too.

11. I told you I would share a photo of how my children prefer to "wear" their Easter baskets. They walk around all day like this.

12. Today, our therapist asked me if I was going to put my kids on a leash...I almost choked. Excuse me? A leash? Did she really just ask me that? No, I am not putting my kids on a leash when I am in public, or at home for that matter. They are humans, not animals. I will never put them on a freakin' leash. A rope with colored handles and some discipline...I think that will work better. Who's in charge anyway? Oh yeah, ME!!!!!! I was never on a leash. Dogs belong on a leash, not humans, no matter how cute they may make a "back-pack leash", I'm sorry it's still a leash!!!!!!!! People stare at us enough, putting my kids on a leash, might be asking for too much! Okay, sorry about that rant, I was just shocked by the question today.

13. I am so sick of Twilight and The Hunger Games I could gag. I just don't get why fantasy is better than real life. Weird.

14. I really want to read the book Bloom, but I honestly don't know if I can. I keep going back and forth with it because it might just be a little too raw for me. I can't and I won't judge someone else's emotions regarding something they are going through or went through, but I can choose whether I want to read it. I don't know, I know it's happy and meaningful, but the path it takes you on to see that, might just be too much for me, personally.

15. I have a lot on my mind right now regarding family issues and I often wonder why is family so complicated at times. I don't think it should be. I hate fake people.

16. Sometimes I hate the fact that I can't just run to the store and grab something I need, because I have four kids, and obviously, A) I can't leave them at home and have the dog watch them, B) I can't leave them in the car and C) I can't physically carry all four of them into CVS just to get an ink cartridge. I know it will get easier, but sometimes I just wish I wasn't so limited into being stuck at home every day.

17. I want to give my blog a make-over but I haven't decided how. I keep going back and forth. I really like some of what I see on other people's but I can't decide for myself, so then I don't do anything. Blah. I hate blah.

18. Softball is starting next Friday. I'm glad because I love going but I am afraid I won't be making many games with the four crazy kids I have. Last year it was just WAY to much for them and they were so little. I missed my hubby on those Friday nights and I hated being alone with the kids. This year I fear the same. But I WANT to go and get out of the house. It's an opportunity for them to run around, in every direction and it just may still be too much.

19. My SIL is coming in from New Mexico next week and I can't wait. She will be meeting Emily for the first time and she is going to flip when she sees how big the girls have gotten since Christmas! We are planning on getting some seafood from the warf after I pick her up from DC. Looking forward to it!

20. I just spent an hour reading posts from two years ago and all the comments I made about "having triplets" when I wasn't even pregnant. So weird, it gives me chills. I never thought I would have triplets and yet, here I am. It's just weird all the times I said something about triplets and that was God's plan for me. Just crazy!

21. Okay, now that I have purged my mind...I am going to go do something important. Happy Thursday!

  1. I just read Bloom (I'm making the assumption that you're talking about Kelle Hampton's book- if not disregard this- also note I'm not a mom so it may be different)It was AWESOME- I cried and laughed and the first part is a lot of the blog- Nella's birth story - it rips you apart at first but it also shows the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people & how important knowing you can rely on your "net" is. There's also some background info on how she met her husband & her family growing up. I'm ready to read it again & almost wish I had bought the actual book (I had pre ordered it for my Kindle) and wish it was easier to mark quotes & the like in it.

  2. I read bloom last week and it's amazing. Are parts of it gut wrenching, and made me want to cry?! YEs! But then 2 sentences later you're laughing your butt off! I loved it! It's a very inspiring read, and I loved all of Kelle's pictures!

  8. I hope you get to the ball field this season. Maybe you can bring a helper with you once in a while so you have an extra set of hands. Good luck!

We are going thru the same tantrums as you, but with just one. It requires a significant amount of patience.

  9. IM so glad to know IM not the only human that thinks the same way about Twilight and Hunger Games-so much publicity about it.

We have started the tantrums season too and have thrown a fit or two about popsicles when they are gone.
