Happy Mother's Day!

This weekend was full of WONDERFUL times! My very FIRST Mother's Day! I couldn't be a happier Momma! I have three wonderful miracle little girls that are such an answered blessing! I am so happy that God chose me to be their Momma and I still wonder why I was so blessed.

We have been sooo busy here at the house! These girlie's take up every single moment of my time I swear! They are more demanding then the day we brought them home from the NICU, and my goodness can they scream way louder these days too!

Saturday, Tim's Mom was here with us, as most Saturdays and the girls love love love having their Nana here! And I do too! My only day where I get a break of some sorts! It's always so nice! Thank goodness for my mother-in-law, she is amazing and I wouldn't know what to do without her. She calls me every single day to check on us and is always a listening ear and someone I can turn to for advice! I love how my relationship is changing and evolving with her and I look forward to becoming even closer over the years! I have always said that I couldn't have asked for a better second family and it is so true!

We had a wonderful dinner together and enjoyed the nice weather!

On Mother's Day, Tim made me a wonderful breakfast of fresh crepes and fruit! My favorite! Also, I had a beautiful card and a beautiful hanging flower basket for our back deck! I love flowers!

We might have attempted to feed the girls their very first food on Mother's Day...just for fun...and it went great! We gave them pears and rice cereal, and they loved it! No one choked, gauged, spit it at us, or cried, they just ate it up! We only did a few spoon fulls and that was it, but all in all it was success. On Monday, Natalee and Claire wanted nothing to do with it, but Madelynn was eating and eating and eating! She kept smiling at me and loved every minute of it! Here are a few of their "first food photos" on Mother's Day.

In the afternoon after making a lot of food and a long nap, we packed up everything and headed to the next street to my parent's house. My mom just had shoulder surgery last week, so she is still recovering and not able to move her arm much. We packed the strollers to the max and headed over. We enjoyed a great dinner and some much needed family time! My mom was still feeling quite out of it but she still was able to enjoy a nice day with our whole family! She is another amazing woman who taught me the best gift she could teach me---how to be a good and loving mother! Something she never had and yet she turned the card and was a wonderful mom and still continues to love and teach me!

My daddy and Madelynn...she was talking up a storm and smiling! Makes my heart melt...I am so so so glad that my girls get to have such a great Grandpa! I so missed my grandpa's (they both died when I was 5) and I just hope my dad is as special to my girls as he is to me! He is a wonderful man!
