Happy Birthday Party Day Anna!!!!!

This past weekend we had Anna's 1st Birthday Party! This was by far my favorite theme I've done for a birthday party so far because it was so girly, pretty and NOT in the winter! :)

I had a blast panning my decorations and looking through pinterest for hours upon hours once everyone was sleeping. I decided on a garden-type theme, but with magenta, green, white and orange.

For the menu we decided on chicken salad on croissants, pasta salad, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, sweet bologna and cream cheese, pretzels, pita chips, ring bologna and cheese, veggies and ranch dip, fruit salad, and cake.

About 30 people came and it wound up being all little girls, a perfect group for a sweet little girl's first birthday!

 After a quick bath by Daddy, Anna opened her presents with lots of help from her big sisters and friends! She got lots of beautiful outfits, headbands and some great new toys!

We then headed for a walk to our local park to let the kids run and play. After all the sugar and being inside, it was SUCH a beautiful evening to be outside and play! They girls had a blast playing with their cousin and friends.

Happy FIRST Birthday Anna!

Our sweet Anna Katherine is ONE today (5.22.14)!! Where has the time gone? I cannot believe my littlest girl is already one! A part of me is sad but another part of me is super happy! 

I can't believe these photos were one year ago... It was a hard time having another baby in the NICU fighting to breath on her own, but I was so thankful her NICU was only for a day and a half. 

37 weeks!

And now...

Anna is doing so much! She is so funny and loves to laugh, especially at her sisters. Everyone always says how good of a baby she is and she really is (but I trained her to be that way!)! She can easily go with the flow and only cries when she is tired or hungry (kinda like her daddy!). She can pull herself up on her knees but has not started standing yet, unless she is holding onto our hands. She "hop-crawls" everywhere she wants to get and is pretty fast. She says "momma", "dadda" and a mixture of "nananana" and "gagagagaga". She can be a feisty little thing sometimes and can show her temper if she wants to!

She can drink out of a sippy cup and feeds herself pretty much anything and everything. The only thing she hasn't taken to yet is eggs, but I have only tried them once so far. She loves all veggies, fruits, meats, and cheese. Cheese and bread are her favorite. She also loves pancakes a lot too, and any fruit. She loves yogurt and gets one every morning. I haven't switched her to whole milk yet because there is still breastmilk in our freezer that we are finishing up. I plan on switching her soon (like in a week or two) though. 

We call her Anna, Annabelle, Belle, Baby Belle, Bell of the ball...lol, pretty much anything but Anna-Kate! So funny but maybe I will start calling her the name I intended to soon. :)

She has her fussiest times in the evening, after dinner and before her bath. Once she gets in her bath, she is like a different child. She loves the bath and splashes so hard!

She takes two naps a day and of course sleeps through the night!

Her schedule is as follows:

8am: Wake up (diaper change, 4oz bottle, get dressed)

8:30am: Breakfast (cherrios, puffs, yogurt)

9:45am-10:30am: Nap (diaper change)

11:15am: Lunch (bread, cheese, veggie, fruits)

12:30pm-4:00pm: Naptime (diaper change, 4oz bottle)

5:15pm: Dinner (whatever we eat)

6:30pm: Bath

7:00pm: Bedtime (4oz bottle)

She wears size 4 diapers.

Size 9, 12, or 18 month clothes.

Size 2/3 shoes

6 teeth (four on top, 2 on bottom)

Blue eyes.

Brown hair.

I will add in her stats when we go for her one year old check up on June 11th.
